View Full Version : Really sticky question - TiVo sub.....
02-22-2002, 12:50 AM
Got new DSR6000. Loaded 25xtreme on new HD. Put into unit, booted, and got bash. "Touched" unit and reads "5 Lifetime". Activated new unit with DirecTv. New unit has never been plugged into phone line and has already downloaded program data. Deactivated old unit that had legit TiVo sub. How do I get new DSR6000 "5 lifetime" to be recognized and accepted by DirecTv and Tivo? What do I need to do to "stop" the monthly charge?

C'mon guys, how about an answer? Someone knows how.
I don't really understand what you're asking. After you activate a Tivo unit with Directv, you should be able to just cancel the Tivo part of the sub. Just tell them "I'm not using it" or the always useful "I don't like it." The Tivo functions should still work, since 25Xtreme should prevent any changes in Tivo sub status, I think..
And, by the way, begging and whining don't really suit you..
