Basic dsr6000 questions

I have done some reading....
made my serial cable, verified it works by shorting tx& rx.

I cannot get a bash prompt...using HT, and I plug in TIVO and hit enter...nothign happens.

I have flow control to none.
When are you supposed tohit enter key to get bash?
ALSO
my SW version says 2.0xxxx

Also I let the unit make its first call and now I can record....whats up with that?
I tht you had to be subbed to record?

You need to install 25xtreme to get bash prompt, it doesn't work with 2.0. As for the call I think it only works for 30 days.

Ok...I thought that would only be good for 30 days.

I have searched for extreme, but cannot find any working links. I will keep looking, but if you are feeling nice, please PM me a link.
