what is the diff between ulitmate and tivo?

hi all,
can someone tell me the difference between the sont t-60 and the w-60?? what dowloads do i need if i wanted to hack a new w60? can i use extreme 25 on both? as you all can tell im a newbie in the tivo area! and help would be great......

Biggest dif. UTV is dead and long term support from microsoft is questionable. No support, no guide, no recording.

I know they're blowing out UTV boxes at Rat Shack for $99 (I just bought 3 for the hell of it). As far as long term support goes, I understand that MS will be supporting the existing account base for the foreseeable future.

Last but not least, UTV is alot easier to upgrade and avoid weekly/monthly calls (maybe that's because I suck at LINUX...).

Anyhoo, just my 2 cents. I've been running UTV for months and it's been great...
