This is a general question but specifically applies to making TiVo upgrades safer. Is there a way to drain power out of the power supply capacitors? I can envision a little device (or maybe just a resistor) built onto the end of a male 4 pin power plug that could be plugged in to a spare plug inside the unit... Anyone out there have some electrical experience that could shed some light on the subject? This would be great info for standard computer work too, not just TiVo work. Thanks.
