I'm Tivo illiterate.
I own a video production co, hence, sit in front of tv's all day long. Last thing I want to do is go home and watch more!!
I bought a Tivo at our local Walmrt, (all I knew was it probably had a large hard drive in there somewhere).
Paid $25.00, no box, remote or manual.
I thought I would strip out the hard drive and
install in one of our computers, but...after taking a look at this
thing I may want to use it for recording presentations and playback for tradeshows. Can you use Tivo as a hard disc recorder without subscribing to Tivo?
.....or should I just use the drive in a computer and
throw out the rest?
If I use as a computer hard drive, is there anything special I would need to do?
Thanks for any info!
