Alright, just checking interest, so don't take anything here as set in stone but...
I might be in a position to get some Seagate 7200 RPM 80 gig drives (the liquid bearing ones) for $60 each. I was thinking of getting like 20 or so of them IF POSSIBLE.
Anyone here actually interested in this?
I'm interested. Sign me up!

3. At least. Will we have the option for more later or do we have to decide now? :)

I'd go for 4 at that price.
(Of course with the same requirement as the others, that it be Seagate part # ST380021A)

Yeah, I kind of figured everyone would be interested.
I just need ot see if it's possible. Close friend of the girl I am dating (more so sleeping with than anything, but that's a whole other topic) works at Seagate and I would think they would have an employee purchase program.
Considering the fact that a rebate was out on the drive I am thinking they might have a lot of overstock of the drive and so maybe I can work something out.
Will keep you guys posted; and of course no promises, I will try my best.

Yea I know what you mean, here is a portion of his last post:
I just need ot see if it's possible. Close friend of the girl I am dating (more so sleeping with than anything, but that's a whole other topic) works at Seagate and I would think they would have an employee purchase program.
Considering the fact that a rebate was out on the drive I am thinking they might have a lot of overstock of the drive and so maybe I can work something out.
I'd just be happy to hear some intimate details about him and his girlfriend (who werks at Seagate) at this point :> :p
