TiVo call home?

Just bought a Sony T60 and had a question. I subscribed to TiVo and added card to my sub. I know I can use Extreme, which I will soon, but can I unhook the phone line, hook up to the emu or put in H card (w/HU cam) and record PPV's, etc, then once a week, put back in subbed Hu and hook up phone, without a Dave knowing? Thanks for your feedback.

Just keep in mind that the DTiVo logs every program you watch and every button you press and uploads this info on a service call. What they do with this info is another subject, but I would think some of it might be shared with DTV.

I would personally remove the logs or null the logs before dialing out. FTY I use to have a stand alone TIVO and ALL the channels on my 4th gen. I was never contacted about why I had so many channels...
