I read that with turbonet installed on 25extreme dtivo it will quit thinking it made a call. Also I read that you can edit the driver with a hex editor and chang eth0 to eth1 and will work right agian.
I kno nothing about hex editor so can someone post the edited driver?

Don't know where you heard that, I've had no problems with the driver, other than having to use the -f switch to force it to load.

From what i read- once the driver is installed, the tivo will automatically go into backdoors and try its daily calls over the turbonet as it is assigned eth0.

Jdiner posted in the extraction thread that he just changed the eth0 to eth1 and it kept backdoors away and still kept daily calls over the modem.

I assume that's what derbyparty is wanting. I have a limited interest in that too (1 year old who loves the remote, bad idea with backdoors on) , but i figured jdiner was a little busy to ask right now..

It really isn't that hard. Just find a good free hex editor like Advanced Hex Edit, and then just edit the file as if it was a regular document.

i tried quickly with the cheesy editor i have but the only place i saw eth0 was in what seemed to be errot text.

Was being too lazy to find a good editor...
