Has anyone else noticed transponders acting flaky lately? Most of my transponders are at 75-85% which is decent (its usually higher but its a little cloudy today).
But over the last few days I've been getting the "Checking for signal on tuner 1" or something like that. So I go and check my transponders and 4 of 32 register as 0. I believe it was 4, 13, 17, and 28 (i think)
I am alone on this? Maybe my dish needs re-pointing....
Sounds like your trying to recieve locals that are not in your geographical area. This a spot beam issue. You can read more

I think this is part of the DTV spot beam. Spot beam is a 'feature' of the new satellite they sent up for locals. It means only certain areas will be able to receive locals. Not really sure why this is a big deal when DTV controls who gets channels anyway, but maybe it's just to stop pirates. Kinda dumb to spend that much on a fancy satellite just to stop people who wont/cant pay anyway.. Maybe there's a better reason.
Of course, this might not be part of spotbeam. I noticed I didn't have transponder 4, but then it came back a little, and is in th 60s now. Weird.

Maybe it is a spot beam thing.. Weird since there all network channels ranging from 200-500.. Oh well.
It will happen on some channels for a couple of hours, and then it will clear it self up all of a sudden. Its been doing this for a couple of days now. There hasnt been any real bad weather since or before this began, which is why I'm not on my roof trying to get a better signal now
