Problem

Hey people, tonigh while watching tv, my DSR6000 just up and shutdown. I was watching tv, it clicked a couple times, then blacked out and started to reboot. It never got past the powering up screen. anyone have any ideas? I haven't touched it for months and has been perfect, there wasn't a whole lot of programs recorded, or anything like that. I am not sure if it is a log problem or what, I did do one of the two hacks for the logs, I think it was the logsnull one. Thanks for any help.

What is it doing now?

I would check the small ribbon cable between the mother board and power supply.

Pull it out and reseat it.

Ok, I will take a look. It happened right before I was going to bed, and I haven't tried to reboot it yet. I think it might be heat related though, it seems to be getting pretty hot lately, I have noticed a "hot electronics" smell in the last couple days. I upgraded the fan when I bought it, maybe it died or worked loose. I will tear it apart tomorrow and take a peak. Thanks,
