Could mount 4 but not 7?

Definitely newbie stuff here. I mounted partition 4 from my pc, edited the rc.sysinit file, and unmounted 4. Then I tried the exact same thing with 7 and I could not get it to mount. This drive has a 2.5 image that I put on it and nothing else. BTW, bash worked fine when I popped it back in the TiVo, and in bootparams, root is definitely set to 4. Is this something I should be worried about?

if your drive has never been upgraded (ie 2.0 to 2.5), then you will only have one partition that is there (4 or 7), but not both. this is normal
