We apologize for the problem with our giveaway website April 9. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the server was down and did not go up until just before 2:00pm. It took just 10 short minutes for the 150 sets to be claimed.

WOW Texasdaughn! I have been busy busy busy w/ little time for freebies today....but in the middle of my hustle and bustle, stopped to check my email. I got the same thing and just had to come here and post for everybody who gave up and didn't email. YOU GO MISS CLEO!

Maybe, if it would be okay with you, we could request one of the mods to change the title of this post to "Kenzie Hair Giveaway Update" or something like that. I think there would be a better chance of more people seeing it that way. I know a lot of people are busy and probably used up all their time trying to get in, and might not have gotten this email.

Please find attached the posting that went up Sunday morning on the Kenzie & Co. link you were sent yesterday:
On April 13, in an effort to remedy the downed server situation on April 9, 12 Noon EST, the specified time for the Fitness Magazine Giveaway, an e-mail was sent at 12:15pm EST to a group of under 400 people. By 8:00pm EST, there were over 1000 people who responded. This unfortunate occurrence has caused us to shut the page down.

The e-mail was generated solely for the recipients’ use. The number of responses we have collected tells me only one thing--the link was posted on a “Freebie” web site. We are not in the business of giving away product.

We entered into this giveaway for the sole purpose of introducing 150 Fitness Magazine readers to our product. Since the magazine came out in late March, we have had over 3000 e-mails that include inquiries, pre-mature submissions, false submissions, and now unqualified requests for product meant as a good-will gesture to a limited number of people.

I’d like to apologize to those of you who actually received our e-mail and are now trying to respond. You will be contacted at some point about what to do next. Please do not send a message, we will contact you.

Got this email this morning and this is what they have to say now!

The following are the instructions you will need to complete in order to get a Kenzie™ ponytail holder or head band:

Self-address a stamped (required postage is .45 cents), 6" X 9" envelope with the following information:

Your Name
Your E-Mail Address
Your Mailing Address
Your selection of either a ponytail holder or a head band

Send the envelope to:

This is the best solution we could come up with to avoid any further complications with the "Freebie" web sites.

You will receive no further correspondence. This will bring our efforts to remedy a situation that was out of our control to a close.

I don't usually do SASE's, but I am doing this one, hopefully these people will get tons of them and learn their lesson about running a contest and not being prepared for people to actually enter it.

That company had this giveaway screwed up from the start of things didnt they.
And now trying to cover their butts with a s.a.s.e.
Maddie I hope you let us know if you actually get something from them besides another e-mail.
I seen on another board where these head bands are $1 at the Dollar Store.

AFTER I POSTED THIS I WAS LOOKING AROUND AND FOUND THAT I NEVER BOTHERED TO SEND IN MY SASE ENVELOPE
WELL I GOT THEM TODAY AND I WILL TELL YOU THIS MUCH I AM NOT IMPRESSED BY THE WAY THEY HANDLED THEMSELVES OR THEIR PRODUCTS
