If anyone can share experiences about Earthlink...I'd be thankful

I am currently on Road Runner, and am getting kind of fed up with their ineptness in customer service. They expect me to be a computer expert to be able to help them fix my problems, basically, they want me to fix all my problems myself. I just got off the phone with the Earthlink rep. and really liked what he had to say. I do not know anyone personally who has used this service, so if anyone can offer dome feedback IT WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!!!

I have had Earthlink dial up service for over 6 years,I still use it as a back up when My Alltel DSL goes out.I have not had any problems With Earthlink.

Earthlink DSL rocks! Even got a static IP.

If they can ping your cable modem the problem is with your computer settings and there is a limit to how much help anyone will give you. Sounds like you need to find a friend/neighbor you can ask to help you.

I had earthlink dial up a few years ago and they weren't all that good with support.

The only problem I had with Earthlink is that when I tried to cancel their service they kept billing me for six months. Every month I called them up to affirm the cancellation, and every month I'd get another charge on my card with the other months' payment added as overdue. I finally called my credit bureau and told them to refuse charges from Earthlink.
