need help on upgrading b drive

im all confused i bought a directivo t-60 with extreme 2.5 already installed . and i read that since tivomad was already preformed
that i have to back up and restore my image. is this if you want to
save all your programs youve recorded or is it the only way to add a b drive. cant i just put old A and new B drive in my pc and run extreme 2.5 again im not worried about saved shows.
any help would be great or maybe a point in the right direction

You can always use your current A and new B and run 25xtreme on them both. This will install a new image and bless the B drive. You would lose all you preferences and settings.

Backing up your current image with mfs_tools will not save any recordings that you have made but will save your settings.
