need help having hard time

ok what i want to do is add a 80gig b drive to my already
2.5extremed directivo i understand i have to unmarry the drives
i have a virgin image on my computer not sure how to restore it to my A drive.
also i tried just running 2.5extreme on my old A and new B drive
without unmarrying them
i get boot prompt hit enter then it restarts my computer is it a bad
boot disc or is this a result of me not unmarring the drives
please help

I would take both drives, put them in your PC, and rerun the 25xtream install. It will automatically remarry the drives as part of the process

If you have lots of Season Passes or Wishlists you want to save, then you can create an unmarried image to restore to the new drives. Doing both drives at the same time is the best way, even though they don't really marry until they are back in the Tivo.

But it sounds like you have other problems, if your PC reboots that way. Try removing all of the drives and see if it still does it. If not, then maybe you have a drive jumpered wrong. The fact that they are married has nothing to do with the reboot problem.

i figured out that it was a bad boot disc d/l another version
burned and it booted perfectly thanks for all your help now i have a 100 hour tivo
probably gonna want more soon haha
