I've been doing a lot of reading to figure out how to do everything. I just used a modified mvchannels script that Taran had posted about. I figure the less modifications I had to do for now the better. I didn't want to get way over my head until I get a better understanding of everything. Well, I copied the 900s.tcl file that was in the zip file to the /bin directory and then I added the one line required in the rc.sysinit file. However, still no 900's (it's been about 7 hours) and now I can't get my bash prompt back. Right now I am more concerned about the bash. Any ideas on what I can do to get one or both to work?

Thanks in advance.

If you left off the > /dev/null & at the end of the command, even a reboot won't let you get bash back, you'll have to mount the Tivo drive on your PC and edit rc.sysinit.

I typed /bin/900s.tcl > /dev/null &

It's entirely possible I mistyped something though. Should that fix both of my problems or just my bash?

thanks BL
