I am curious as to whether anyone has fully exercised all the spot beam channels available in Northern California. I have looked at the spot beam map posted previously and it looks like I should be able to get all of the California channels, but the only ones which I seem to get are SF, Sacramento and some DirecTV splash screens on some of the OR channels. All others get the 'Searching for Signal' message.
Is this right? Or is there some other trick involved?
Also I notice that when I run mvchannels manually:
./mvchannels.tcl -loop=0 -sdelay=1 -file=/var/hack/channels.dat
everything runs ok (subject to the question about which channels are receivable) but when I terminate the program (CTRL-C) my T60 reboots. Is this normal behavior? I am a little worried about putting it in my rc.sysinit until I understand this.
