Okay, I think the main issure with this VI install is the file names.

There are some files named ".bash" etc, where a period is the first character.

Well, this is not a valid windows file. So when trying ot upload it using Tera Term Pro, etc, looked like it worked, but I think it didn't.

I renamed the files to valid names for Windows, did the upload, renamed on the Tivo system to what they should have been, and then followed the directions for the VI install to the word, and...

BAM! Worked like a charm.

Just a FYI for those out there running off a Windows system. I know this was bothering me for awhile.

Hope this helps anyone looking to do the same :-)

Hmm, I'll have to check that out. I had the problem using Win2K, which to best of my understanding is the same kernel as XP, but who knows. Could be based on some other factors as well.
