Installing Xtreme on DSR-6000 w/ a 40 gig Quantum Fireball and an 80 gig Seagate drive. I am getting the following error after the image has been written and I answer yes to running DTivoMad:

Forcing re-read of A drive partition table ...
Mounting in-active root ...
Copying mfsadd ...
/maddtb4/setupcd.sh: line 246: 195 Broken pipe cat /maddtb4/mfsadd.gz
196 | gzip -dc
197 Terminated | dd of=/mnt/tivo/tvbin/mfsadd obs=32k
ERROR: Copy of mfsadd failed.
ERROR: The exit code was 143.
ERROR: Cannot continue.

Hope you will enjoy your Version 2.5Xtreme upgraded DirecTivo

Happens every time. What is going wrong? Both drives work, are intalled correctly, etc.

I tried saying no to DTivo mad and just continuing and blessing the B drive, but then when I installed it all in the DTivo, I only have 24 hours of recording time. What is going wrong??

Make sure your PC has at least 96 Mbytes of ram. When using DTiVoMad make the 80GB drive the A and the 40GB the B.

Thanks SuperZap, I just read all the posts saying the same thing. I am gonna try it on my system with 512 RAM tonite, will see if it works then.

If it doesn't work, look for me posting a topic with lots of pissing a moaning about DTivo and Xtreme :-)
