First, I just want to thank everyone here for the wisdom you have given freely. With you guys, I would still only have 35 hours of recording time;).

Anyway, I did the Xtreme update the other night. Here are a few things I'm having issues with:

1. The noppv.tcl script doesn't seem to be working.
2. I can't watch my previously recorded shows. I know it's because of the new kernel mod. I need to be able to get back in and "undo" the kernel mod when need be. But I can't at the moment.

Being an MCSE from the M$ side, this Linux thing is new to me but not completely foriegn. I just need a little bit of guidance to pull me through the rough spots. Any light you may shed onto these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

In Linux, ren = mv (you move a file to a new name, same idea as renaming, but different)

Also, del = rm (you don't delete a file, you remove it).

as for noppv.tcl; Try doing a dump to st.dat with the correct GMT setting, and then run manually; see if it actually is even working; might just not be running for some reason.
