failed unknown error on daily call now

i get that error after .......
2..52 upgrade
re-created hack dir
chmod and chattr all appropriate files

am i missing something obvious here?

You don't need to chattr any files with v2.5 or above. This could be your problem, go back and use chattr -i on all those files.

i went back and did the chattr -i on the files
i still get the failed unknown error shortly after i select "make daily call now" and it says "starting up"

i`m at a loss now ,as to what i might have done wrong with this thing , or what might have just screwed up

when i go to the root dir , and type subtest -it makes the subtest file in /etc , so by right s that should be doing its thing to the
TClient-lib.itcl right?

anymore suggestions? or should i just say the hell with it
and re-xtrme the drive ,and add alphawolfs no download hack
and bye bye nightly downloads! lol

What's the TiVo Account Status?
If it's not 5: Lifetime Service did you try entering from bash:
fixsub.tcl
?

The file SubTest is just a "switch" indicator, it is not executed. And SubTest must be spelled just like that and reside in the /etc directory.

To see if TClient-lib.itcl is marked as executable enter this:
ls -la /tvlib/tcl/tv/TClient-lib.itcl
and make sure you see x's on the left of the displayed line.

If you still have problems look in the /var/log/tclient file for errors.

i`m in the middle of transfering kravens update over , i`ll try what u said in a few minutes

and no its not 5 , i`ve got 7 never setup
and i`ll try just typing in fixsub.tcl
