skipping and not recording all of a show

I've been having trouble lately.....
Some programs aren't recording all the way through and what was recorded is so error-ridden and pixelated that it's unwatchable.

Wondering if this has something to do with my hacked T-60 having the occassional trouble with finding a signal on the second sat input.

Could a tuner be going out? Any ideas?

Check your signal strength. Your explanation does make sense. Also, if you are recording from the spot beams and your beam strength is low, your picture/video will fade in and out.

Swap the inputs on your receiver and see if the problem switches to the other tuner. If it does, then it is an antenna/LNB/multiswitch/cable problem, not the receiver.
