When cutting a stream with m2-edit, it seems to add a few frames at the end of each segment I cut, how do I get rid of this and only get the segment I cut, not any extra?
Thanks

anyone know how to solve this problem?
just on a wild guess, as there's no other replies...
i think it's got alot to do with the codecs that are installed on your system.
when i try to use m2edit, it cuts the audio perfectly, then leaves a few seconds of the video AFTER the cut point, throwing off the a/v sync for the rest of the vid.
either no one really knows what the hell is happening, or they ain't telling.
;)
come on, muxer!

My guess is that m2 cuts the video on gop boundries, the extra frames are from your cut point to the end of the gop. Audio doesn't have that issue... Ty m2v's have non standard gop structures which can be very long. I have not had much luck with m2 edit. I think we will get relief when jdiner comes out with his muxer which should make mpg streams which are easier to manage/edit.
