HELP!!! Bash lost and can't figure it out!

I've xtremed three DTIVOs and set up my SA with bash and all the programs.

I'm not sure this qualifies me as a newbie but I'm tired of getting bashed on the other Tivo forum.

So I turn here for help.

Let me start out by saying that I've read a ton of emails and spent over 4 hours trying to get my bash back.

Here's the problem:

I had 2.5 on my SA with bash NO PROBLEM.

Received 3.0 bash gone.

So took out the drives, put them into my computer and did the “joe /mnt/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit” on both Partition 4 & 7 and added "tnlited 23 /bin/bash -login &". Unmounted and everything.

I put them back in and nothing except if I press the ENTER key right when it's turning on, I get "VERIFY PASSWORD:" or something like that. I remember reading something a hundred years ago about using the word "FACTORY" but it didn't work.

Can any kind person share any words of wisdom other that "READ MORE".

Here's a couple of links that might help you. Unfortunately, I can't access all of the pages in them, because for some reason, my work(internet monitoring system) blocks my access to certian areas. In the first link, there should be an area that mentions thee Factory password, and how to reset it, if it doesn't work?...I think? The Tivovaq, says something about Myworld=false. I don't know exactly what it means, but if you can figure it out, maybe it will help you? Sorry I couldn't be of more help. 3.0 is still somewhat new, so I'm not up to date on exactly how it may effect bash, or how to establish it based on the 3.0 update?
