I'm having trouble getting Mvchannels to work after I installed AlphaWolf's Tivo Enhancement Script. I'm only getting one local and My channels.dat calls for several. When I try to run mvchannels.tcl it failes in this area...
# Reload data, if needed...

if { $need_reload == 1 } {

mv_reload $inpfile

} elseif { $maxloops > 0 && $loops >= $maxloops } {
I'm not sure what version mine is.....any ideas???

Thanks,
KLX331

juppers modified selectlocals

Does this mean everything was working just peachy BEFORE you added AW's script? So you are absolutely certain that adding his script caused the new behavior?

No I'm no absolutely certain that it stopped working after I installed Alphawolf script...but I'm pretty sure. I removed all three files of Mvchannels and reinstalled them and still got the same error.

I then installed selectlocals and ran that and it worked fine per Alphawolf. All my locals are back with selectlocals.tcl.

Thanks,

Howdy Alpha,

Let me start by saying I've been lurking on the board for a while now, and I'd like to say Thanks to all you guys. With all the great info here, I've been able to get my unit extreme'd, updated with Kraven's update, popped in my Turbonet, and have TONS O' FUN with Tytool!!

I was just wondering if you ever got the guide data set using your locals scripts? I've fooled with mvchannels, and I've read all the posts about proper bytes and whatnot. I can get all the guide data to come in for the locals I choose, I just can't get it to stay. After a few days some will start to say "Upcoming: <Some show title from a few days away>" and then will later go back to the "To Be Announced". Any clues? All the posts I see seem to say "Once you get the guide data, it tends to stay" - I wish!

Thanks Very Much, and thanks again to all you guys on the board - this has been a great place to learn!

I dunno, I have been having issues with the locals guide data recently, and I know for 100% certainty that my script has nothing to do with it. The main thing here is that I don't use v2.5 anymore, and its my understanding that there were some back end changes in 2.5.2 that cause issues associated with this. I haven't realy been looking into that though, last I heard somebody (juppers?) was working on another locals script to fix the problem.
