I'm running the latest version of SLE, and whenever my Tivo ivacs I have to reboot both SLE and my TIVO. It used to be that I would just reboot SLE and re-insert the emu board.
Does anyone have any clue as to why I'm always having to reboot my tivo now?
thanks

You should never have to reboot the Tivo due to an IVAC message. It sounds like there may be a compatibility issue between your EMU board and the DTivo. Of course, there is also the possibility that you might have a funky .cor file or CAM ID but that's a topic for a different forum. You might also want to try cleaning the contacts in the DTivo card slot. I had a heck of a time getting mine to work at all until I did so. Now it works 1st time, every time with no DTivo reboots. From what I remember the slot assembly is in two pieces that simply snap together so it's not too difficult to take it apart for cleaning. I recommenmd using a pencil eraser for cleaning the contacts. It cleans and tarnish, dirt, and light corrosion without abrading the contacts.

As far as preventing IVACs, different topic, different board; BUT, we have discussed it in great detail here and on PitouForums (I know, Pitou, but it is relevent). Try doing some searches.
