DSR 6k xtreme with fixsub and logsnull working for 8 months...then I did Kraven's upgrade the other day.
Thought all was good after only about 10 minutes of upgrade time. (put in turbonet at the same time)
Unit boots fine. Watch tv a little while, went to bed, got up and still ok. But yesterday when I came home I had MAJOR freezing and pixelation problems. I also had 4 reboots in 2 hours.

Now I would like to follow the logs a little to possibly troubleshoot the problem, but I have logsnull running via kravens upgrade. So I edited logsnull and commented out all lines, rebooted and still have nulled files.

How can I restore my logging functions?

I beleive that your best bet is to delelte the log files.

Upon reboot, they will be recreated.

As long as you don't have logsnull running, you'll be able to see the logs for diagnostics.

Duh!...forgot to do that....
it worked thanks alot!

but I was hoping to see some more activity in my logfiles.

...until today when it wont boot...I think I gotta bad sector(s) on the drive. The drive is relatively quiet during startup, but then hiccups and restarts. The same hiccup clicks were heard numerous times yesterday when it only rebooted about every half hour/hour. Went and got a new 120g drive...gotta go put her in!
