I wanted to upgrade my philips 6000dsr

It got better and then it got bad...
At first, it was: "Powering Up" + reboot til the cows came home
Then I read about removing the battery, then I got:
"Powering Up" + "Wait a few more minutes" + Reboot
Then I got up to: installing from satellite (until 100%) + reboot
I was actually able to watch TV for about five minutes
Then it went south on me...
I got "Powering up" + "Wait a few more minutes" + reboot
then only "Powering up" + reboot

And NOW, I don't even get that: I plug in the machine and the fan goes on but nothing else: I can't even feel the hard-drive turn... (I have quintipled checked the cables...)

Am I going out of my flipping mind here???

Try carefully reseating the white ribbon cable that connects the power supply to the main board. Unfortunately you might have a bad power supply or hard drive, but also check the fuses.
