OK guys, here goes. Now that I have finally "mastered" my SA tivo, it is time for me to take the plunge and try to butcher a DirecTivo. I think I have decided to try and pick up one on ebay, and the DSR6000 seems to be the more affordable one based on the listings I have seen. My two main reasons for wanting to switch are the dual-tuner capabilities and the fact that apparently the extractions are much, much smaller in size. This way I won't have to deal with all this transcoding hell that I am getting a little tired of frankly.
So my question is this. Is there anything in particular that I need to watch out for when scanning the listings? I saw on one auction that you need a certain software version to enable dual-tuning. Is this true? And if so, the extreme upgrade would just take care of this, right? I am not worried about there being no HU card supplied. Good luck finding one that has it. :)
Is there anything else that I am missing? Just want to make sure my purchase is done with some kind of forethought.
Thanks,

P.S. I have another refurbed Phillips 212 that I have not even touched yet. I got so geeked about Tivo that I went out and purchased another one. I guess now I will be putting it up on Ebay if all goes well with the DSR6K. :)
