Renaming local channels

My local channels (SF Bay area) are all listed
as SF2, SF4, SF5 etc.

Is there a way that I can tell my DTiVo to use the name KTVU instead of SF2, KQED instead of SF9, KRAP instead of Telemundo :) etc?

I tried to do that, but never got it to work.

Those unique channel names are the keyes used in the MFS to identify the channels, so I would say no.
