Hello-
Ran into something interesting last night. I use TyTool to extract recordings from my Tivo and I have been trying different ways of extracting a very large movie thhat I recorded on it. Having troubles with ye-ole 2 gig limit. Anyway, I recorded the movie using composite in from my VCR. Loaded Tytool and extracted it. found the sound was WAY off because of a glitch in the beginning of the tape so I deleted the old movie, rerecorded it and tried again. After downloading it the second time, I discovered that I had dowloaded my FIRST recording of the movie! This it dawned on me, I hadn't refreshed TyTool. Apparently the pointers for the deleted movie were still out there which allowed TyTool to download the original. Once I refreshed, the old one was gone and the new one was where it should have been.
Just thought I would share this with you. Someone might be able to put this knowledge to good use.
Have a happy!
