need to add a drive to my cousins tivo but he lives on the oppisite coast and I want to know if there is a way I can add the drive without having to get his a drive from him I know mfs tools you need to put in both drives any other programs that I can use to add a drive on any tivo as a b drive without having to put in the a drive in the ps?

If he had a single drive unit that has NEVER had a second drive, (possible in a stand alone, doubtful for a DTivo) then you could just bless a drive and ship it to him. They'd marry automatically when it first boots.
If you are talking about replacing an existing B drive with another, that's a whole 'nother can of worms. You'd have to create an unmarried backup, restore it to the A drive, then expand it to the B drive.

no he has a dtv tivo dsr6000 with one drive all I want to do is add another drive for him what should I use cause mfstools you need to have both drives I need something that I can do for him without adding the A drive to the pc

So you just need to bless the new drive with the BlessTivo program.
