About two weeks ago, I noted that my DirecTiVo was having problems responding to remote control commands or even the buttons on the front of the unit. It is a xtreme'd unit with the latest patches, but not any other programs running.
I decided to check and see what processes were running and a PS AUX command showed DHCLIENT running 70+% of the CPU. I killed the process and that seems to have solved the problem.
I checked the ethernet cable and didn't note anything wrong. The unit IS getting an IP address and seems to function fine over the ethernet port (I regularly extract video).
I thinking about going to a static IP address, but just wondered if anyone else has seen this. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
