View Full Version : No Joe
I have searched and searched and have not been able to find a solution.
I posted earlier about losing bash after Kraven's update. Well I finally got back in by restoring the rc.sysinit I backed up before installing Kraven's.
However upon doing that I no longer have access to joe. It just doesn't find it. I tried restoring /var/hack with hack.zip but still no luck.

You need to restore Kraven's version of rc.sysinit, not the one from before. He moves a number of files.
If I do that I get no bash anymore(even if I change the com port speed)

Check and see if you lost your /var/hack directory. However, if you reinstalled the original rc.sysinit directory and you're losing bash after installing the version from Kraven's upgrade, my recommendation is to reload 2.5Xtreme and start over. It's much easier to start with a clean slate than to try and patch problems that begat other problems. Back up your drive when you've got a stable working configuration. That way you can restore your drive to a working configuration if and when you have another problem later on. This prevents you from having to start from the beginning each time a problem crops up. It may seem like a pain but you'll thank me in the long run.
Yeah I kinda knew that that's the surefire way to fix it but I have a few recordings that I don't want to lose.
