I installed xtreme on 1 80gig and the orginal it came with. When I turned it on for the first time. All it does is say "Almost there a few more seconds please". I've restarted it several times. The remote doesn't work. Do I need to have connected to phone line to get past this screen?

Please help totally confused.

My power button isn't working on the remote or the box. What could this be? This is a brand new tivo.

Sounds like you installed the wrong extreme image, what was the name of the iso?

The power button doesn't turn the unit off (the hard drives still spin, the unit still records your stuff). The only thing power does is turn off the audio/video out so your tv will go blank, it also causes lockups/crashes so I never use the power button, it stays on 24/7. I have far fewer problems this way.

If you're circumventing either tivo or dtv subscription, do not plug the phone line in...ever.

You might try rextremeing...there are two iso's for the T60, maybe try the other one.

PS. if the power LED doesn't go off with remote or on the unit itself then it's probably locked up.

PPS, never just pull the plug on the unit, it should be shutdown safely before removing power (unless you have no other choice). To safely perform a complete power off of your DTivo, Press your Tivo Button on your remote, select 'Messages and Setup' then 'System Reset' then 'Restart the Receiver' after the screen goes black and starts booting, pull the plug.

Where were you able to find the Sony T60 25Xtreme image?

I've been trying the links and none of them seem to work!

you can find the link in the "how toos",

D: you installed xtreme on both drives 80g as the "a" and the original as a "b' or was it you install them both seperately?

Your patient and understanding reply and PMs are appreciated.

After more diligent searching, the location was found in Kraven's how to.

I had a simular problem for about 5 months. I finally ran across a post someplace that said try changing the IDE cable. I did and everything now works on my SAT T60. Finally got to see something on this tivo but dust. Hope it helps some.
