I did not have a /hack directory, so I read the howto link and saw the post by captain_video i believe with a link to file with all the files that should have been put in the directory.

So I proceeded to copy all the files over across the serial cable one by one, this is all I was doing, now my bash looks like there is no carriage returns, looks like this...What happen and how can I fix it, makes it very difficult for a newbie like me. I still managed to get my selectlocals.tcl to work temporarely, see that post to help me more with it.

ubTest ls hosts ppp-options tclient.conf
boot.expect
inittab protocols tclientUK.conf
build-version instal
l-tivo1 rc.d termcap
channels.dat main.dat reso
lv.conf tivoconfig
channels.dat~ mtab selectlocals.tcl
chat
-script mvchannels.tcl services
fstab nsswitch.conf sysl
og.conf
bash-2.02#

Check your terminal settings, you might have to tell it to convert linefeeds (LF) to carriage return/linefeed CR/LF).

Been there done that, all terminal settings are the same.

Even created a new one. Still no luck.
