Could it possible i cannot get a guide from my tivo because i do not have dual tuners set on extreme 2.5?? I am just guessing because its not hardware problem... I am just thinking that since extreme supports it it may not support single?

2.5Xtreme could care less whether you have your DTivo set up with either a single or both tuners activated. I've run it both ways and it makes no difference whatsoever. Which guide are you referring to - the DTV grid guide or the Tivo guide? If you're not getting the Tivo guide then you probably didn't run fixsub. Check your phone status and see if it shows a successful call on its last attempt. The System Information screen should also show a Tivo status of 5 for a lifetime sub (scroll down one page and you'll also see the last call status on the system info screen). If it shows anything else then you need to access the DTivo either via serial port or telnet and get a bash prompt. Type in the following and press Enter at the end of each line:

cd /tvbin
./fixsub.tcl

When the bash prompt reappears, check your system info screen and you should now see a Tivo status of 5 and the last call status should indicated a successful call.

What do you mean freeze at 26? Are you saying you can't scroll past 26? That's a problem caused sometimes by conflicting channels with the same number.

Do you have a different reciever to try?
Sounds like it might be a problem with your cables/dish.
What signal strength do you get?
If you have good signal strength do you get the same on all transponders? You might have a bad tuner in your TiVo.

Try setting it up with only one cable. Go into sat setup and just pick one cable and see what the results are. Be patient sometime it stops at a certain % for up to a minute or more. Mine always stops at 90% for awhile. It may be even slower for you with a 1st time setup.
