View Full Version : Hacking the TiVo Lifetime Subscription

First off, I'm using a Phillips DSR6000 receiver, and all I'm trying to do is hack the lifetime subscription. No adding extra drives or anything like that, just the lifetime subscription. I've already run the 25xtreme for the DSR6000 to the drive in the TiVo unit, but where do I go from here?? I'm guessing it has something to do with Telnet and the serial port (which I will be making a cable for soon), but I really have no idea where to go from here. Any help or HowTo Guides on how to hack the lifetime subscription would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Your message got me to thinking...

One thought I had was that if I was looking for some "howto" information that maybe the very first message in this section titled "Sticky: HowTos Only" might be a good place to start...

And trust me, you really don't want to know what my second thought about your message is...

I'm sorry you guys and I really do appreciate the help. The problem was I knew where to look and how to look just not what I was looking for. With a little help from the search bar I THINK i've found what I was looking for. I'll keep you informed.

You really don't have to search much at all...

Just goto the "HowTos" sticky and read -- all your answers are there within the 1st 10 messages...
