If nobody can provide the insmod file, is there a way to extract it from my original mfstools backup without writing the entire thing to disk, I don't have a disk big enough thats free. And once i get it, is there a way to put it on the hard drive and some how set attributes with the tivo drive on my pc (using bootdisk) (tivo won't boot without the file). Please help i don' t want to start this all over there were a lot of movies on that drive i havn't seen and a lot of hacks i worked hard on that didn't get backed up

I really appreciate the posts and the files. Hopefully i can get this file back on my tivo hard drive and be on my way! Does anyone know if you can boot with dylans, drop the file in the sbin directory, chmod 755 and thats it?

Thanks again for the help

The easiest way is to connect via FTP and simply do a file transfer. Then get a bash via TeraTerm and do the chmod to the file. Otherwise, transfer it using Zmodem transfer via serial connection and TeraTerm.
