I just got this email
Dear Jay Jay Fan …
I have just learned that your local PBS station may stop airing Jay Jay the Jet Plane in January. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. New shows are being launched and little Jay Jay may be pushed aside. As you can imagine, I’m stunned.
Eight years ago, I created Jay Jay for my 2-year-old son. He loved hearing stories about Jay Jay, Tracy, Snuffy, Herky and all their Tarrytown friends. When Jay Jay made it to PBS last year, it was a dream come true! Now that dream is in jeopardy.
I urgently need your assistance. You can help keep Jay Jay on the air! Here’s how.
Sometime THIS WEEK, please write a personal letter (not an email) to the Director of Programming at your local PBS station. It is crucial that you tell him/her about how much your son or daughter loves Jay Jay. Please focus on the educational value of the shows. Share personal experiences of particular episodes that your child appreciates and loves. Heart-felt letters CAN and DO make a difference! Your local PBS station Director of Programming makes the final decision on whether or not Jay Jay stays on the air in your community. Please take a few moments to let them know how you feel.
Please forward this email to at least 5 other moms and dads with little Jay Jay fans. We need thousands of supporters in each local community to speak out for Jay Jay! To send this message to your friends, simply click here.
You’ll find a list of PBS stations with mailing addresses at www.WonderWings.com (click on "PBS Kids"). Please find your local station and send your letter THIS WEEK! Decisions are being made NOW for what will happen in January.
To thank you for your assistance, I’d like to send you a picture of Jay Jay, hand-signed by me. To receive your personally autographed picture, simply send me a copy of the letter you send to your local PBS station. My address is: David Michel, WonderWings.com Entertainment, PO Box 823006, Dallas, TX 75382.
Our preschoolers need healthy role models. They need wholesome stories that teach life lessons. Please write your letter today.
I truly appreciate your support. Thank you.
Warmest Wishes,
David Michel
