i brought this crap via ebay. i wonder if there is a way to avoid the monthly payment..... i will hook this thing up to my dss.
or should i buy a sony combo that have the tivo with it ?? please help i'm newb i read the stickies. but my questions were not on them.... from what i was reading with the use of 2.5 extreme i can make my tivo avoid the daily call right?

This is a DirecTivo forum. 2.5Xtreme is not meant for standalone Tivos and will not work with them. Your only recourse is to get yourself a series 1 DirecTivo or pay the monthly fee.

how much do they go for the tivo/ dvt series. what is the cheapest..... i'm a student i dont make much ^_^
