My quest for the holy grail ended here. I want to say thanks to everyone that posted a how-to or a link to files and sites.
I am now the proud owner of a Sony SAT-T60 with two drives thanks to 25xtreme and lots of reading.
All I can say to anyone that comes across this post is read, search and read again. Oh yea, backup your original drive image to before you do anything. Also, if you have trouble with your unit after a upgrade, try it again, but with a different file from a different download site. The first 25xtreme I downloaded seemed to complete ok, but the next day the unit would just reboot. I downloaded 25xtreme from the Pitou site, burned another CD and all has been OK for a few days now.
So remember, read until you find a post that makes sense to you before you jump in and you will have a good working unit.
