View Full Version : Mfsstreamweb97 Priority Set Problem

11-27-2002, 10:33 PM

I'm using mfsstreamweb97 to download from TivoWeb. All .ty files I download have the text "Priority set ..." at the beginning of the files therefore making it impossible to split unless manually removed. Apart from this the files look fine compared to files downloaded using tytools5.

Does anyone know about this and can it be fixed?

Thanks in advance!

I just edited a .ty file in a hex editor to remove the "Priority set..." from the beginning of the file. It now splits perfectly.

I just wish the files could download without this text prepended to everything.

I assume there are many people with .ty file problems, but don't know that this text is the cause?

I couldn't help it.

I loaded my hex editor, looked for the text "Priority set..." in the executable mfs_stream and zeroed it out including the newline 0x0A. So now when mfs_stream goes to grab the text at that location all it will do is grab a null string.

Problem solved. My .ty streams now download without that horrid text inserted, yippeee!
