Drive too small

I have tried to install xtreme 2.5, but it always cancels out and says drive to small. The drive says on it is a 40 gig drive. Is it set up with a partition? Does anyone have any idea. I have read and did get it installed under "HDD" and linex does see the drive.
Any help would be great

where would I get a 30 gig image file with
xtreme

Also be sure the bios recognizes the full capacity of the 40 gig drive. I had a computer the other day report one of my 40 gig hard drives as only 30 gigs and Xtreme would not install. Once I moved it over to newer computer that could see the full 40 gigs, Xtreme installed fine.
