Hi guys, I need some advice.

I have a Phillips DSR6000. Yesterday I took a 120GB Western Digital, put it in my PC and applied the 2.5xtreme software to it. Note, when I was adding the software it was designated as my secondary master. Everything seemed to work great. However, when I took out my original 40GB drive from my Tivo and replaced it with the 120GB drive, I connected the cables, turned on the power it stays on the startup message for a few seconds, then resets itself, then comes back to the startup message, then hangs on the "Almost there. A few more seconds please..." message. That's it. I left it that way when I went to bed last night and it was still there this am.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have new Western Digital 100mb with 8mb cache, the new one.... Have tried EVERYTHING, everything I've read in EVERY tread about reboots with "powering up" screen over the past 2 weeks I've tried... no NO luck.

Got to be the drive...

Has ANYONE out there successfully loaded a new drive like this that works???????? If so, post what the big secret is to getting this to work!

Thanks in advance,
Mike

There's no big secret. Check out the troubleshooting tips at this site:

www.weaknees.com

If everything checks out and all of your connections are good but you still can't power up completely, it's either the 2.5Xtreme image or your drive. Try running a diagnostic on the drive and make sure it checks out OK. WD will have one for download at their website. Otherwise, download a fresh image of 2.5Xtreme and start over. The framethrower link seems to be the one that most people are having luck with.
