I want to edit the manual recordings on the tivo but if the recording is a manual recording then i get an error. I think the fields for title and things must not be initialised on manual recordings so tivoweb errors when it tries to open them
Anyone got a cure?
It also seems that i cant save a changed title in any of the shows so maybe it's a UK Tivo only thing

I have strange symptoms when editing manual recordings, but not what you report. I assume that your TIVO must be subscribed, because my TIVO is not subscribed, and ALL my recordings are manual, however there are 2 different kinds of manual recordings for me, ie ones that I go through the process of selecting the start and stop time, etc, and another type where I just hit the record button on the remote. These two types show up differently on the now showing screen for me in that the latter are missing a program title, and some of the other fields. When I go to edit these recordings, I cannot even click on the program field to select it, since it is blank, however I CAN click on the "Episode" field, and select the program, and then enter the Edit screen. If I then enter a Title in the Program field, it will show up in the Program field, and look relatively normal, however if I then go back and try to re-access this program on the Now Showing screen, I still cannot access it by clicking on the clicking on the title in the program field, because I get an error screen that won't let me get into the page where I can click on edit. I can still, however get to the next page by clicking on the episode field like before.
When I look at the bottom line on my Netscape browser that shows what url I'm aiming at, I see that the program field is entered as "series" however the episode field has an ID# for the recording. I assume that the above behavior is because I don't have any series data since my TIVO is not subscibed.
I'm wondering if somehow the series data in your TIVO is corrupt? But in any event, I'm curious whether you are having trouble getting to the information screen where you click edit, in which case I'd recommend clicking on the episode field instead of the program field. However, if you are getting into the info screen that has the edit button at the bottom, then you are having a different problem.
I did once, shortly after a major upgrade (I can't remember what), I had a few of my manual recordings that I could get into the info page, but got an error when I clicked edit, however I ended up deleting these recordings, and I never had the problem again.
Anyway, sorry, I don't have any answers, but my observations are, that recordings made via the record button, which do not end at normal times, and have a "Bookmark" selection type instead of manual, and a "converted from live" error string, end up giving errors with tivoweb. Hopefully these observations might help soneone figure out why some of the strange behavior occurs.
None of these problems bother me, as I just use my TIVO as a dumb VCR, and it works just fine for that, and TIVOWEB works GREAT otherwise. I love it.
