general knowledge question no flaming please

are the patch cords that 9th tee sells actual "crossover cables" that you would need to go from the tivo to the nics card without a router or are they just a regular CAT 5 cable. i've almost got this licked if i could just have this one piece of information that i haven't been able to find elswhere. thanx

Unless they say "crossover", they are regular straight-through CAT5 cables.

They have all of those hard-to-find parts. They're also pretty inexpensive.

Home Depot sells crossover cables. By the time you add shipping they may not be anymore expensive than mail order.
