I bought a 120GB Maxtor to replace the original 40G in my Hughes DTivo. I started out by installing a fresh copy of 25xtreme on the 120GB drive. I was doing some reading and decided I would try to copy my old drive to the new one instead of starting over. I downloaded the MFS 2.0 tools/boot CD from hinsdale. I ran the dd to copy the 40GB to the 120GB and everything seems to work correctly. I ran mfsadd -x /dev/hdc to expand the space to the full 120GB and this is where the problem comes in. The expansion only went from 30 hours to 39 hours. I checked the boot output to make sure that linux was recognizing my drive correctly and it seem to be right. It showed 120000MB for /dev/hdc. Did I cause this problem because I installed a new copy of 25xtreme on the 120 and then did the dd? Do I just need to format the 120GB and start over with the dd step?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
