How do u use the 30 second skip

Just installed Xplus and don't know how to use the 30 skip?
Can someone plus tell me how to use this feature.

To automatically enable the 30 sec skip feature every time you reboot the DTiVo set the xPlusz T30SS function on with command #22,1. You might need to adjust the delay time (default=300 seconds) if your unit takes a long time to acquire the guide data. Use command #52,?seconds? to change the delay to a larger number.

You can also toggle the 30 sec skip any time with the Select-Play-Select-3-0-Select sequence. The ->| key will then skip ahead 30 seconds when you're in the live buffer or playing a recording.
