Video / Audio Sync

Hi - too much to read through here, too much history, too little time....

I have used the tytools method to win nt successfully, but in joining the audio / video files back together have not been able to use the offset time correctly to obtain a synced video....

What tools / method (NT or Linux) enable one to extract from the tivo to create a mpg without worrying about the offset values - ie point and click. Done.

After much reading and ALOT of trial and error ive had the most luck using TyTool downloading to a ty stream then splitting with vsplit13c, this resolved most of my problems with the a/v sync i still get the occasional drifting but a huge improivement ovefr the other vsplits ive tried....I would estimate about 80% of my extractions run without a/v sync problems as long as i dont try and edit the commercials out. As soon as i try and edit the commercials all bets are off. Still looking for the perfect solution but havent found it just yet.
